The Scam a Dutch Psychobilly band from Rotterdam (the Netherlands) started back in 1986 in the good old days of what was then called Psychobilly.
The band Recorded there debut album (Gambling Fever) on Count Orlok Records in 1988. After the release of the album they played various big festivals: Spinnekop Festival Gent Belgium, Night of the longknives Manchester UK and two of the Rockhouse Psychobilly festivals in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. In 1989 the Band released a mini album on the Tombstone label.
The last album the band released was A million dollar scam on the Rockhouse/kick4u label in 1991. In between 1989 and 1993 the band did a lot of gigs and toured Germany.
2005 a one time reunion in orginal line up took place in their hometown Rotterdam.
By this time Mars Singer and Guitar player had already switched to playing double bass in bands like 69Beavershot and Triple Dynamite.
He started to put the band together in 2009 but with a new line up.
He’s joined by Marc on Drums who also plays in 69Beavershot, Triple Dynamite and Bang Bang Bazooka and Wim ex Powerdog on Guitar.
At the moment the band is working hard on the live set and a brand new album which is set for release in October 2009.
So prepare for a brand new SCAM that will sound tighter than ever and who will rock the house where ever they go.
